These single loose tube cables offer a low cost alternative to traditional stranded loose tube cables as it allow a direct transition from indoor to outdoor applications. With a riser rating, there is no need for a transition splice when entering the building. The loose tube design offers reliable transmission performance over a broad temperature range. The buffer tubes and fibers in each tube are color-coded for quick, easy identification. These cables are protected against water penetration by innovative waterblocking tapes and yarns that swell to absorb water.
